Breathe Perform Thrive

9D Breathwork for sports teams

Train the mind like you train the body.

Help athletes handle pressure, sharpen focus, recover more deeply and build confidence before competition. 9D Breathwork supports mental performance, nervous system regulation and team resilience.

  • Pre-performance focus
  • Stress and anxiety regulation
  • Recovery and sleep support
  • Confidence and resilience

Ideal for hockey teams, gymnasts and high-performance athletes.

What changes when you breathe

From noise to focus.

Under pressure, breathing gets fast and high in the chest, and the body stays in its stress response. A slow breath with a longer out-breath sends the opposite signal. 9D layers that breath with guided coaching and sound, so athletes can practise the shift until it becomes a skill.

01Pressure spikes

Big game, tight score, a mistake replaying in your head. Heart rate climbs and thinking narrows.

02Breathe out longer

In for 4, out for 6. A longer out-breath is one of the simplest ways to tell the body it is safe.

03Settled and sharp

A clearer head and more control over the next play.

Where it fits

One skill, every part of the season.

Athletes train breath control like any other skill. Here is how a team can use it across the year.

Build the habit

Short team sessions while schedules are lighter, so the breath is familiar before it matters.

Pre-performance focus

A few minutes of guided breathing to settle nerves and lock in before the puck drops.

Recover and sleep

Down-shift after the adrenaline, win or lose, so rest comes easier.

Confidence in hard stretches

Injuries, slumps and selection pressure. A steady practice for the toughest parts of the year.

Questions

Coaches and parents often ask.

Do athletes need any experience?

No. A certified practitioner guides each breath. Athletes lie down, put on an eye mask and headphones, and follow along.

Is it suitable for youth teams?

We run Kids 9D sessions for ages 8 and up. For youth teams, talk to us first about ages, session length and parent consent.

Will it make players too relaxed to compete?

Game-day sessions are short and aim for a settled body and a clear head. Longer, deeper sessions fit better after games and on rest days.

Who should check with us first?

Tell your practitioner before the first session about pregnancy, epilepsy, heart conditions or recent trauma. Breathwork supports, but does not replace, medical or psychological care.

Where are you?

#119, 201 Kaska Road, Sherwood Park. Ask us about sessions at your rink or gym.
